About Peter Stock

I'm Pete, an experienced outdoor instructor and fell runner. My love for the outdoors led me to starting my own instructing business, where I can share my knowledge, skills and passion with others.

I have been involved in the outdoors for most of my life and am lucky enough to live in the Lake District National Park. If I'm not out working with clients, you'll more than likely find me out running in the fells. 

I started my running journey as a junior in school, running cross country. This developed at secondary school where I developed my running and started playing hockey, which I continued playing into my early twenties. I then started to run for myself as a means to increase fitness and enjoy the outdoors, which Fell running naturally achieved. I compete in a variety of different events, from parkrun to road marathons and short fell races to Ultra distance events and challenges.

I studied Sports Science at University, gaining a 1st degree and have always enjoyed being analytical and scientific in my training approaches and philosophies. My degree and subsequent qualifications allow me to coach myself, and I have proven myself at a number of competitions.

I have a vast knowledge of the Lake District mountains and have completed all 214 of the Wainwrights. I love combining walking, climbing and scrambling into long adventures in the mountains. I have completed may of the long distance challenges in the Lake District and am fit enough to competently guide runners through these at their pace.

I hold a range of accredited outdoor qualifications such as Mountain leader, Rock climbing instructor, Fell, Hill and Off-road leader, Leader in Fell Running and 16 hour outdoor first aid.
