The course is being delivered in line with REC syllabus requirements for the REC L2 16 hour First Aid course. ( LEVEL 4 will be added for those requiring an overseas expedition qualification ) The course outline below is therefore based on these syllabus requirements but please give us advance notification of any other subjects you would like to see included, or if you need any specific in country advice.
Morning and afternoon tea/coffee will be provided during the course
As most of the course will be delivered outside, please ensure that warm and waterproof clothing is brought together with clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and wet.
Accommodation can be booked direct with the lodge at 18.00 for the Saturday night
The centre is next to KFC, McDonalds and Pizza Hut and there is a pub serving a carvery approximately 300 yards away

First Aid Refresher Course (Outdoor Scenarios)
Outdoor practical scenarios – outdoor clothing is required as we’ll be outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
The delegates will split into sub-teams and be given a written brief containing details of an incident which might have occurred on a trek/expedition. Sufficient time will be allocated before teams make their presentations. An element of assessment is required for the course and this exercise contributes towards this requirement.
